Mission Chirripó 2025 Highlights
This is the pinnacle of our retreats, my signature experience for a small curated group of six men who have previous experience with deep inner work. It is a journey that takes courage, but the rewards are great, as its effects are deep and truly life changing. Designed as a proper reset, it helps you to leave behind what no longer serves you and see what is next for you in life.
Disappearing deep into nature without phones is already a remedy itself. Add the company of like-minded men whose life stories and insights can change how you see the world. Throw in proven self-reflection and development exercises that will help you to take a step back and take a good, long hard look at your life, reset the priorities, decide what you no longer want to carry and see where you want to go. The presence of my long time friend and Shaman, and his cleansing medicine and rituals are designed to create a lasting shift in a person.
All the participants leave with similar effects. Feeling really grounded, more sure of themselves, knowing who they really are, less dependant on what others think, reacting less emotionally and able to take care better of themselves in the stressful situations. Every man gets a personalised cheat-sheet to revert to when coming home to new reality.
This year was very special as one of the men lost his dad few days before the retreat so we dedicated a lot of time to our dads, opening up the topic of what are the things we received from our dads, what we felt we did not get and what we rejected. No matter your relationship with your dad or how tough or detached you think you are, this is always a heavy but wonderful topic that, if addressed, helps to stand you more firmly on the ground for the rest of your life.
Another layer that added excitement was the amount of business ideas and connections made between the the participating entrepreneurs. Not really an intention yet at some point this naturally happens as people become open and get to know each other’s mission.
From the natural hot springs where we stored the warming energy for the adventure to come, to a demanding jeep ride to the secluded Reserva Aurora at the foothills of Chirripó National Park, to resting in a hammock among majestic jungle trees to taking cold plunges in the river, there is a lot of nature to enjoy and source vitality from. Before immersing ourselves in intentionally simple amenities designed for profound reconnection with nature however, we took some time to relax and unwind at our partner sanctuary, ART VILLAS. This is our favorite place to either begin or end, appreciate the finer things, enjoy surf at Playa Hermosa or just relax by the private pool.
RESERVA AURORA, CHIRRIPÓ
Secluded at the foothill of Chirripó National Park, embraced by verdant hills and majestic trees and its own stream of fresh water, Aurora feels like a womb of the mother nature. It is a POTENT ENERGETIC SANCTUARY for reflections and new beginnings. Run by Martin who is a costarican biologist, avid mushroom collector and photographer of local wildlife, it is a simple cottage with the most delicious food made strictly from local, organic ingredients. This is not to sound like a hippie but when you start cleansing yourself, and be aware of what happens around and within you, you will also start quickly feeling the effect of really good food.

PURIFICATION WITH KAMBÓ
When Amazonian hunters struggle to catch prey, it is believed that they carry heavy, stagnant energy that repels animals. At this instance, the whole tribe goes through a KAMBO ceremony to remove these stored toxins and waste from liver, lymphatic system and intestines. In the same way, we use this potent cleaning medicine to remove all the stored emotions, anger, sadness, fear or hate. Again a bit of discomfort is required for the healing to occur. The important thing is that you have a clear intention. The theme, topic, experience that you want to address and leave behind is purely your choice.
I will leave you with few words from Tony on the importance of sticking together as men.
